Responsible Supply Chain

Management systems at our international sites dealing with product stewardship address the quality, compliance, and sustainability risks associated with our products and processes, including occupational health and safety, environmental management, quality control/quality assurance, traceability, and labeling in accordance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. These systems ultimately protect the interests of our clients and serve to enhance access to preferred markets for CMOC products.

Our DRC operations also have a special set of "responsibilities" related to product stewardship for the sustainable supply of cobalt hydroxide across the global market. The presence of a large number of unregulated artisanal miners in the DRC, coupled with the customers who buy their products, has heightened international concern about child labor, workplace health and safety, and human rights issues in the country's cobalt supply chain. TFM and KFM manage this risk through a range of product control and stewardship procedures to ensure that the minerals they mine, process, and sell are sourced exclusively from normal mining processes carried out by the Company at its own mining sites. TFM and KFM resolutely refuse to purchase or process ore from any outside sources. In addition, both TFM and KFM have a comprehensive system in place for tracking copper and cobalt products produced at the mine site from production through the point of product transfer to final delivery to the customer.
