On 23 January 2026, the Company completed the acquisition of 100% equity in four producing gold mines in Brazil (Aurizona Gold Mine, RDM Gold Mine, and the Bahia Complex Mine Area) from Canadian company Equinox Gold Corp. for USD1.015 billion. These assets are capable of contributing immediate production and profit, marking another major deployment by the Company in the gold sector and giving a strong impetus to the implementation of its “Copper-Gold Dual Core” strategy.

The above assets collectively contain gold mineral resources of 5.013 million ounces (approximately 156 tonnes) at an average grade of 1.88 g/t, and gold mineral reserves of 3.873 million ounces (approximately 120 tonnes) at an average grade of 1.45 g/t.

  • The Aurizona gold mine is expected to achieve a peak annual production of over 160,000 ounces.
  • The RDM gold mine is projected to produce 50,000 to 60,000 ounces of gold.
  • The Fazenda gold mine's mine life can be extended to 2033, with potential for production ramp-up and further life extension.
  • The Santa Luz gold mine employs open-pit mining, with its resin-in-leach (RIL) circuit operating as planned, achieving gold recovery rates higher than historical levels achieved with the carbon-in-leach (CIL) method.
