Recently, at the National Vocational and Technical Education Expo held at the Dilala Vocational Training Center in Kolwezi, Lualaba Province, President Félix Tshisekedi of the DRC visited the TFM booth to personally observe the company’s achievements in youth vocational and technical education.

In the presence of the President, TFM’s training team presented its industry-leading mining talent development system, demonstrating the use of advanced training equipment and highlighting the company’s outstanding contributions to enhancing the skills of the local workforce. President Tshisekedi watched attentively as trainees skillfully operated simulation devices and praised TFM’s innovative integration of cutting-edge technology into vocational education.

TFM’s training center was recently awarded official certification by the DRC’s Minister of National Training, making TFM the first private enterprise in the country to receive this qualification. To date, over 150 students from universities in Kolwezi, Bunkeya, Likasi, and Lubumbashi have received professional training at TFM. The company’s annual internship program also continues to provide a balanced platform of theory and practice for Congolese students both locally and abroad.

Building on the momentum of President Tshisekedi’s visit and endorsement, TFM will further deepen the integration of industry and education, empowering local talent for future careers. Under its Cahier des Charge, TFM is currently planning the establishment of a state-of-the-art Higher Institute of Applied Technology, which will systematically enhance vocational competencies among Congolese youth. Once completed, the institute is expected to train hundreds of skilled professionals annually for the country’s mining sector.
