CMOC Brasil is working in cooperation with the Fire Brigade Battalion and the Municipal Environment Department to inform and raise awareness among the community residents about the fire risks during this dry season. According to the Fire Department of Goiás, from May to June 2020, fire occurrences increased by 99% (587 more outbreaks) in the state, compared to the same period in 2019. Fires endanger the life and health of the population and generate damages to the environment. More than 50 families from the rural areas of Ouvidor and Catalão received our educational visit to popularize the use of fire protection kits.
