On May 30th, the NSW Mining Women in Mining and Industry and Suppliers Awards were held in Sydney at NSW Parliament. 

Brooke Lees, Organizational Development Specialist in Northparkes, was recognized not only as a finalist, but as the winner of the Exceptional Young Woman in Mining award. 

Since joining Northparkes in 2011 as a graduate, Brooke has managed a number of programs to better connect the community with the mine, such as the highly successful Northparkes Open Day in 2015, along with 2018's Make Your Mark Campaign, which showcased all the benefits of a career in mining.

Brooke is also an active member of our Emergency Response Team on site.
