Graduation Ceremony
The 25 participants of the 2019 edition of Formare received their certificates in a solemnity on 11th of December, at the salon of Catalao Sesi, in the Southeast of Goias. This is the second class of the program maintained by CMOC, in a partnership with Iochpe Foundation, which throughout the year has offered vocational training courses to social and economically vulnerable young people. The courses provide an initial training opportunity for the labour market.
"Formare has changed my life," explains student Flavio David Franco Filho, 19 years old. In addition to enabling student learning and professional experience, the initiative also has the ability to impact and transform the reality of employees of the mining company that are involved with the cause. Baptized as 'voluntary educators', they dedicate their free time to pass on their knowledge to the apprentices.
The HR and Corporate Affairs Director, Eduardo Lima, spoke of the importance and social impact of the program developed at CMOC at the graduation ceremony. “Education is a fundamental tool for social transformation, and Formare brings this transformation not only to the students, but also to the company, educators, and families of these young people. We are training much more than professionals today, but better citizens who know their importance and role within society.”, said Eduardo.
