TFM provides 65% financial funding for asphalt paving projects of Kasolondo Road in Fungurume

CMOC’s subsidiary company Tenke Fungurume Mining has just invested 1.5 million dollars for asphalt paving projects of Kasolondo Road.

Tuesday September 24th 2019, the paving works of Kasolondo Road have officially started in Fungurume.

Mr. Zhou Jun, general manager of TFM, and Mr. Richard Muyej Mangeze Mans, provincial governor, have been present at the opening ceremony of the paving project which was held at the intersection of Kasolondo Road and Kolwezi Road (National Road N°39). Elected officials of Lubudi, national and provincial deputies, provincial ministers of budget, of plan, of infrastructure, of mines, chief and deputy chief of Fungurume commune, tribal chiefs, members of civil society, religious representatives and local residents have attended this important commencement ceremony.

As a good neighbor, TFM has made great efforts to support the development of the community. On the same occasion, the governor and his delegation have visited the project of electrification of  Fungurume. Funded by TFM, this project is in progress and the substation is in full rehabilitation in order to stabilize the power supply of the local community. TFM has also invested in the construction of water supply system in Fungurume, Tenke and the surrounding villages. TFM has also invested in health, agriculture, and infrastructure areas. All of these projects fully reflect TFM's commitment to support the whole community.
